Repairs

Drop it off. No need to ask first. Do rinse the sand out.

Every ding, rail, fin box and snapped board is priced below, with the time it takes. Walk in during opening hours with the board under your arm and you will know what it costs before you leave it.

Not sure which row your board belongs in? Bring it in. Duarte will look at it and tell you.

How long it takes

Most dings, rails, fin boxes and leash plugs take 3-5 working days. A snapped board takes 10 working days, because the splice has to be shaped back and glassed over before it goes anywhere near the water. If you are leaving town soon, say so: the 48-hour turnaround is there for any ding under €60.

From December to February every resin repair takes one extra day. The resin cures slowly below 14 °C and the workshop heater can only do so much. Plan your winter accidents accordingly.

If you are not sure whether yours is past saving, bring it in anyway and ask.

What we turn away

  • Soft-tops and pop-outs. The foam in a moulded board will not take a proper repair.
  • Decks delaminated past saving. If the deck has lifted across more than a third of the board, Duarte will tell you honestly that it is time for a new one.
  • Cosmetic resprays. If nothing is actually broken, there is nothing here to fix.

Repairs left uncollected for 60 days are sanded down and offered to the next person who asks nicely.
